Large Goods Vehicle Driver C+E Level 2
This Apprenticeship Standard develops the learners knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:-
- Health and Safety in the transport industry eg vehicle checks, PPE and safe working practices
- Safe Loading and unloading.
- SAFED – Safe and Fuel-Efficient Driving.
- Planning the route and timings of deliveries.
- Legislation on driving hours and rest periods
- Team work and self-management
Apprentices will also complete functional skills Level 1 certificates in English and Maths if they have not previously achieved them.
All apprentices will gain their C+E driving licence (used to be class 1)


Express Delivery Operative Level 2
This Apprenticeship Standard develops the learner’s knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:-
- Deliver goods to customer premises in a safe efficient manner
- Load and unload goods in a safe way that ensures the safety and condition of the goods
- Correctly understand delivery schedules
- Plan and track progress against a schedule
- Use equipment where required e.g. scheduling software, satellite navigation
- Consistently meet customer expectations
Apprentices will complete functional skills Level 1 certificates in English and Maths if they have not previously achieved them.
Urban Driver Level 2
This Apprenticeship Standard develops the learners knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:-
- Drive fixed axle vehicles over 3500 kg in weight considering all relevant factors
- Use on-board electronic systems such as s driver aids, telematics, handheld terminals, and on-board weighing systems
- Techniques for protecting goods in urban areas, including both when in transit and when the vehicle is unattended
- Manoeuvre fixed axle vehicles over 3500 kg in weight on site
- Learners will complete functional skills Level 1 certificates in English and Maths if they have not previously achieved them.
Apprentices will also complete functional skills Level 1 certificates in English and Maths if they have not previously achieved them.
All apprentices will gain their C driving licence (used to be class 2)


Lead Traffic Management Operative Level 2
This Apprenticeship Standard develops the learner’s knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:-

- Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) equipment and systems on the road network using the correct techniques and in accordance with the required specifications and industry standards.
- Review design and technical specifications to plan equipment, systems, signage and resources required, and methods for installation, maintenance and removal, of TTM on the road network.
- Prepare, inspect and where appropriate, maintain or repair, TTM resources, reporting defects and faults as required.
- Maintain their own safety and that of others at work, ensuring a safe working environment with minimal exposure to risk.
Apprentices will complete functional skills Level 1 certificates in English and Maths if they have not previously achieved them.
All apprentices will gain LTMO qualifications in one of the following NHSS 12ab, 12c or 12D.
