Am I too old to take an Apprenticeship?

There is no upper age limit.  If you are already employed and would like to go on to an Apprenticeship programme, ask your employer to get in touch with us and we can tell them how we can you get you started.

Levels of apprenticeship

Who can apply?

You can apply for an apprenticeship while you’re still at school. To start one, you’ll need to be:

  • 16 or over
  • living in England
  • not in full-time education

An Apprenticeship is an achievement to be proud of; it’s a real job where you earn a wage, receive training and gain qualifications all at the same time.
